About Us

The Maidan’s Voice

Maidan Charcha is an independent digital sports publication built from Bengal’s deep sporting culture with a pan-India outlook. We cover the people, clubs, competitions and stories that make sport matter.

Our launch focus is Indian football, including the Indian Super League, fixtures, results, analysis and stories from the football community. As the publication grows, our coverage can expand to other sports without losing the editorial identity rooted in the maidan.

What we stand for

We aim for accurate, accessible and engaging sports journalism. News and opinion are clearly distinguished, corrections are made transparently, and third-party information is attributed where appropriate.

Bengali roots. Pan-India reach.

Maidan Charcha publishes for readers in English and Bengali. Our name reflects the culture of discussion around the maidan: supporters, players, history, rivalry and the stories beyond the scoreline.
