Editorial Policy
Maidan Charcha aims to publish sports journalism that is accurate, fair, clearly presented and useful to readers.
Accuracy and verification
We seek to verify material facts before publication. Fixtures, results, standings, quotations and statistics may be checked against official or reputable sources. Where information cannot be independently confirmed, that limitation should be made clear.
News, analysis and opinion
Reporting should distinguish fact from analysis, commentary and opinion. Headlines should reflect the substance of the story and should not deliberately mislead readers.
Sources and attribution
Information, photographs, video, statistics and reporting from third parties should be credited where appropriate. Anonymous sources should be used cautiously and only when there is a legitimate editorial reason to protect a source.
Corrections
Material factual errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy for details.
Conflicts and commercial influence
Advertising, sponsorship or commercial relationships should not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored or promotional material should be identified where applicable.
AI-assisted work
Technology, including AI-assisted tools, may be used to support research, transcription, translation, editing or production. Editorial responsibility remains with Maidan Charcha, and material facts should be checked before publication.
